The beat DROPS....and the first thing that comes to mind is my love for the 80's. Then her voice drops and it reminds me even more of one of those 80's teen movies that I grew up watching and became obsessed with. The trance like beat and smooth sound of her voice, simple, less cluttered than what we hear everyday. Now the visual...the video showcases Solange's eclectic style that we've all grown to love during her years of being on red carpets and spinning at parties while she stayed away from recording and became more of a staple on fashion blogs and entertainment shows. Shot in Capetown, South Africa, the style of the video blended a variety of patterns and throwback to the 60's and even 70's with bright colored suits and platforms with the rugged streets of Capetown as the backdrop. The mix of plaid and African prints had me engrossed, not wanting to miss a single look. Pay attention...This weekend's original look may have to get remixed. Thank you Solange.
