My Experience with Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush Apri-Cot in the Middle:
Packaging:
The blush comes in a small black box with a clear lid that makes it easy to identify. It feels super light and easy to carry around. It comes with a small brush, which is useless for me. Actually, the brush is too small to use and I can’t apply the blush with it. Also, the packaging doesn’t contain any mirror; otherwise, it is a very affordable blush.
Shade and Pigmentation:
It is available in three shades and I picked up this gorgeous shade called Apri-Cot in the Middle. It is a light peach or true apricot shade with golden shimmers. It looks extremely natural and glowing on the skin. It is actually best suited for fair to medium skin tones. Since I have a tanned skin tone the product looks like a blush cum highlighter on my skin and it gives a beautiful glow. The shade is decently pigmented, but since it is a light shade, I have to layer it up for good color payoff.
Texture and Quality:
Now, this blush has a soft texture that blends smoothly on the skin. The formula is very soft and lightweight. It blends evenly on my skin and doesn’t feel chalky or patchy at all. It does contain shimmers but they never look OTT on the skin. It gives a beautiful illuminating glow to the skin and is perfect for everyday makeup looks. It also never clings to dry patches and never clogs my pores.
It gives a beautiful, fresh and pretty look, which works well on my oily skin too. It gives a flawless finish and sometimes I don’t need to use a highlighter. It also never dries out my skin. During this winter season, it feels soft and smooth. On my sensitive skin, it works well and has never broken me out.
Staying Power:
The blush lasts decently, i.e. around 4 hours and then the color starts to look faded. It is a light shade, so after a few hours, the color fades and just a light glow remains on the skin. The product never settles into the fine lines and never makes my skin oily.
Overall:
It’s a very natural-looking shade for daily use and gives a pretty glow to the skin. Wish it offered better pigmentation and better lasting power. Otherwise, this is nice budget-friendly illuminating blush.
